Lake Allatoona Information

Lake Allatoona Located Near Atlanta Georgia Lake Allatoona is an 11,860 acre Army Corps of Engineers reservoir located just 41 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia. It's convenience to Atlanta and surrounding areas is unequaled by other reservoirs in Georgia. Lake Allatoona is stocked with 200,000 Stripers(Striped Bass) and Hybrid Bass every year by Georgia DNR. The lake is very fertile and has an abundant population of shad and other baitfish. These two factors make for some volatile and explosive lineside fishing. Lake Allatoona is home to trophy sized stripers which makes it a nice lake to fish without making the trip to Lake Lanier. You can enjoy tremendous hybrid bass fishing on Lake Allatoona which rules out the need for the long drive to West Point Lake.
